1.264 p:  1, 2, 4, 7, 11 etc. 9.376 p: 1, 2, 4, 11.  Winning 1, 2 en 4 against 9.376 pigeons is very exceptional, the pigeon that won 3rd (Adams) was bred off a hen of mine.

21 april Sint Quentin:

Of 29 birds that I entered no less than 25 prizes were won and  20 of them 1:10.

1.312 p: 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 21, 24, 25, 27, 39 and so on. Provincial (9.451 pigeons!) 5 birds in first 28! When 25 of the 29 birds I entered are on the result sheet still 800 more prizes were to be won. The 20 first pick birds ALL won a prize.  

28 april Sint Quentin:

In the Combine (Cubag) was an entry of 1.404 pigeons.

I entered 29, started with 7, 8, 10, 11. 26 from 29 birds won a prize. Of the 25 first pick birds only one failed.

May 5th Morlincourt.

Bright, hot headwinds. 1.567 pigeons in Combine:

6, 10, 13, 16, 25, 27, 33, 35, 42, 56, 79, 82, 85, 87, 89, 90, 95, 150, 153 etc.

29 birds entered, 22 prizes, 19 of them 1:10. Provincial, 10.265 birds, I started with 9th (773).

In all possible competitions all first Championships (short distance) were won, including Section 4 with average entry of app 10,000 birds. Then came the smash from Pithiviers from which so many birds got lost. I myself lost my 10 first nominated birds, so my 10 best amongst which 04-331, 04-091 and so on.    

BELGIUM

Till 2005 I raced youngsters in the town of Sint Willebrord which is known for its strong competition. I won all 1^st Championships in the Combine in 2005.

After my partner passed away early 2006 I started racing in Belgium in a big Federation (Sint Job) which fanciers from over 30 clubs can participate.

Those birds of mine with Dutch bands won 1^st Over All Championship from Noyon races (230 kms) in the country of sprint in 2006.

In 2007 my little team AGAIN won 1st Championship (yearlings).

One should know the system in Belgium is quite different from Holland. There people are almost free to choose where they race. I raced in the Fed of Sint Job, which is known for its strong competition. The entry is far less than in Holland, the number of fanciers that participate is far higher, since the best fanciers enter their best birds.

April 15^th  1,072 pigeons:

4, 10, 18, 42, 82 and so on.                    (10 pigeons entered, 8 prizes).

April 29^th  1,383 pigeons:

5, 10 and so on.                                      (9 pigeons entered, 7 prizes).

May 6^th      595 pigeons:

2, 3, 5, 27, 29, 59, 60, 61 and so on.     (10 pigeons entered, 7 prizes 1:10, 8 prizes total). 

Too bad that from this race first pigeon was not registered.

May 27^th   302 pigeons:

1, 4, 5, 17 and so on                              (9 pigeons entered, 7 prizes).

June 3^rd   282 pigeons:

1, 3, 4, 14, 16, 22 and so on.                 (9 pigeons entered, 7 prizes). When 6 ‘Aliens’ (my Dutch birds) were home, no one else even had 3.

The town in which I race is located at the greatest distance. The wind was very strong, right ahead and the winner (06-020) that performed incredibly in 2006 won with a lead of 5 minutes and had the highest speed of the whole release (app. 6,000 birds).  

June 17^th  331 p: 
8 pigeons entered, 8 prizes (!!).

June 24th:
I won 7 prizes from 8 birds. An update on results young birds 2007 in Belgium will follow

Only top prizes in first 10% are mentioned! Notice the strength of the loft (the prize percentage). Who can claim the same? Only my loft in Belgium maybe where I race against the famous names!! ‘Provincial’ refers to combines and Feds together.

I normally do not race long distance. For Blois I did.   

From 337 p I won 2^nd and 3^rd with ONLY 3 BIRDS IN THE RACE.

From 9,334 pigeons I won 9th and 12th with 3 birds in the race. Who in Holland did better? 

Strombeek 1,018 y birds:

1, 2, 7, 14, 15, 21, 29.  7.720 birds: 1^st and 2nd! Those were the 2 fastest birds of total release appr 30,000 p.

Nijvel 558 y birds;

1, 2, 3, 4, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, 36, 39, 40, 48 and so on (20/30)

Nijvel 1,205 y birds:

1, 3, 4, 5, 34, 35, 40, 42, 45, 51, 68, 79, 82, 94 and so on.

Prov: 7,750 birds: 9, 19, 24, 34 and so on.

Noyon 537 birds:

1, 3, 5, 24, 26, 28, 49, 50 and so on (13/27).

Noyon 1,083 birds:

1, 8, 10 and so on.

Provincial 6.821 birds: 1st.

According to the pigeon magazines also fastest from 27,241 pigens.

From Strombeek (mentioned before) I got 2 birds together that were the fastest of appr 30,000 birds. One of them (09-1275585) was now fastest of 27,241pigeons.

Sens

A hard race from nearly 400 kms with headwinds and low speed:

5 birds in the race and 5 prizes!

(242 p:  2, 9, 19 and so on).

Strombeek 386 y birds:

1, 5 and so on. From 924 birds 2^nd.  The winner was  AGAIN 1275585 that was before 2 times fastest of the release. 

Sint Quentin 330 y birds:

2, 5, 6, 7, 11, 19, 20, 23, 32 and so on. 16 birds in the race, 13 prizes! (1:4).

Sint Quentin 1.013 birds:

4, 9, 11, 12, 17, 29, 30, 33, 48 and so on.

Gueret 05-09 (613 kms for y birds)

·        Entered 8 y birds, 6 prizes, 5 on top to start with 1^st.  The 1^st prize winner with old birds was beaten by no less than 15 minutes. At the worst location (greatest distance while the wind switched to N West in the last 100 kms) this bird still won 10^th NATIONAL ALL Belgium (14,400 p) while all other early birds were clocked East.
